### sec.196 Application for authority
An application for the issue of a distribution authority must—
be made to the regulator in the form approved by the regulator; and
state the proposed distribution area; and
be accompanied by the fees prescribed under the regulations, including any fee for investigating whether the authority should be issued.
If asked in writing by the regulator, the applicant must give the further relevant information or evidence the regulator requires to decide the application.

(sec.196-ssec.1) An application for the issue of a distribution authority must— be made to the regulator in the form approved by the regulator; and state the proposed distribution area; and be accompanied by the fees prescribed under the regulations, including any fee for investigating whether the authority should be issued.
