### sec.102 Works on roads
An electricity entity may do any of the following things on a road—
build or remove, or alter (other than for maintenance or repair), its electric lines or other works;
maintain, repair or alter for maintenance or repair, its electric lines or other works;
stop obstruction or potential obstruction to, or interference or potential interference with, its electric lines or other works.
However, the electricity entity may do things mentioned in subsection (1) (a) only if it has the written agreement of the road authority.
Subsection (2B) applies if the electricity entity proposes to do a thing mentioned in subsection (1) (a) on a road on which light rail is located.
Before giving the written agreement mentioned in subsection (2) , the road authority must consult with the light rail operator for the light rail.
The road authority or light rail operator for a light rail must not unreasonably withhold agreement.
If asked in writing by the electricity entity, the road authority must give the entity information about lines and levels for any planned roadworks necessary to enable the entity to minimise possible adverse effects of the entity’s works on roadworks.
