### sec.101 Electricity entity may take action in publicly controlled places to provide electricity etc.
An electricity entity may take the action in a publicly controlled place it considers necessary to provide or supply electricity, including, for example—
opening and breaking up the soil and pavement of the place; and
cutting, lopping, or removing trees and other vegetation growing in or over the place; and
opening or breaking up a sewer, drain or tunnel in or under the place; and
temporarily stopping or diverting traffic on or from the place; and
building drains, excavations, subways and tunnels in or under the place.
The application of this section could, in a particular case, be affected by the Native Title Act 1993 (Cwlth) .
A regulation may make provision about the obligations and rights of electricity entities taking action in publicly controlled places, including, for example—
notice to be given before taking action; and
timing of work; and
procedures to be followed on the breaking up of anything in, on or under the place.
This section is subject to sections 102 and 104 .
