### sec.40AA Duty of person conducting business or undertaking that conducts a recognised external certification scheme
This section applies to a person who conducts a business or undertaking—
that conducts a recognised external certification scheme; and
that certifies in-scope electrical equipment under the scheme.
The person must ensure that the in-scope electrical equipment to which the certification relates is electrically safe.

(sec.40AA-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who conducts a business or undertaking— that conducts a recognised external certification scheme; and that certifies in-scope electrical equipment under the scheme.
(sec.40AA-ssec.2) The person must ensure that the in-scope electrical equipment to which the certification relates is electrically safe.
- (a) that conducts a recognised external certification scheme; and
- (b) that certifies in-scope electrical equipment under the scheme.
