### sec.26 When can a court make a protection order A court can make a protection order if— an application for a protection order is made to the court by any of the persons mentioned in section 25 (1) ; or the court convicts a person of a domestic violence offence; or the court is the Childrens Court hearing a child protection proceeding. s 26 amd 2016 No. 51 s 73 sch 1 - (a) an application for a protection order is made to the court by any of the persons mentioned in section 25 (1) ; or - (b) the court convicts a person of a domestic violence offence; or - (c) the court is the Childrens Court hearing a child protection proceeding.
