### sec.219 Duration of existing protection orders This section applies to a protection order made before the commencement if the protection order— was in force immediately before the commencement; and did not state a day on which it ends. Section 97, as in force immediately before the commencement, continues to apply to the protection order unless the protection order is varied to change its duration. Section 97, as amended by the amendment Act, applies in relation to an application to vary the duration of the protection order. s 219 ins 2016 No. 51 s 49 (sec.219-ssec.1) This section applies to a protection order made before the commencement if the protection order— was in force immediately before the commencement; and did not state a day on which it ends.
