### sec.180 Aggrieved or named person not guilty of offence
For the purposes of the Criminal Code , section 7 , an aggrieved or other person named in a domestic violence order, police protection direction, police protection notice or release conditions—
does not aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of an offence against section 177 , 177A , 178 or 179 , and is not punishable as a principal offender, because the person encourages, permits or authorises conduct by the respondent that contravenes the domestic violence order, police protection direction, police protection notice or release conditions; and
does not aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of an offence against section 179A , and is not punishable as a principal offender, because the person encourages, permits or authorises conduct that constitutes the offence.

- (a) does not aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of an offence against section 177 , 177A , 178 or 179 , and is not punishable as a principal offender, because the person encourages, permits or authorises conduct by the respondent that contravenes the domestic violence order, police protection direction, police protection notice or release conditions; and
- (b) does not aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of an offence against section 179A , and is not punishable as a principal offender, because the person encourages, permits or authorises conduct that constitutes the offence.
