### sec.161A Accredited media entity may apply for copy of transcript of proceeding for application
A judicial officer may authorise an accredited media entity to receive a copy of a transcript of a proceeding for an application for a domestic violence order.
In deciding whether to give an authorisation under subsection (1) , the judicial officer must have regard to the principles mentioned in section 4 .
The judicial officer may give an authorisation under subsection (1) if—
the applicant gives an undertaking to comply with the Domestic and Family Violence Media Guide, as in force at the time the authorisation is given; and
the judicial officer is satisfied it is in the public interest to give the authorisation.
In this section—
Domestic and Family Violence Media Guide means the document by that title made by the chief executive and published on the department’s website from time to time.

(sec.161A-ssec.1) A judicial officer may authorise an accredited media entity to receive a copy of a transcript of a proceeding for an application for a domestic violence order.
(sec.161A-ssec.2) In deciding whether to give an authorisation under subsection (1) , the judicial officer must have regard to the principles mentioned in section 4 .
(sec.161A-ssec.3) The judicial officer may give an authorisation under subsection (1) if— the applicant gives an undertaking to comply with the Domestic and Family Violence Media Guide, as in force at the time the authorisation is given; and the judicial officer is satisfied it is in the public interest to give the authorisation.
(sec.161A-ssec.4) In this section— Domestic and Family Violence Media Guide means the document by that title made by the chief executive and published on the department’s website from time to time.
- (a) the applicant gives an undertaking to comply with the Domestic and Family Violence Media Guide, as in force at the time the authorisation is given; and
- (b) the judicial officer is satisfied it is in the public interest to give the authorisation.
