### sec.154 Court may issue subpoena
A court hearing an application under this Act may issue a subpoena requiring the attendance of a person before the court.
See, however, section 145 (1) (a) of this Act and the Evidence Act 1977 , part 2 , division 2A .
The court may require the person either to take an oath or make an affirmation.
In this section—
subpoena means—
a subpoena for production; or
a subpoena to give evidence; or
a subpoena for production and to give evidence.

(sec.154-ssec.1) A court hearing an application under this Act may issue a subpoena requiring the attendance of a person before the court. See, however, section 145 (1) (a) of this Act and the Evidence Act 1977 , part 2 , division 2A .
(sec.154-ssec.2) The court may require the person either to take an oath or make an affirmation.
(sec.154-ssec.3) In this section— subpoena means— a subpoena for production; or a subpoena to give evidence; or a subpoena for production and to give evidence.
- (a) a subpoena for production; or
- (b) a subpoena to give evidence; or
- (c) a subpoena for production and to give evidence.
