### sec.134C Offence warning The police officer giving the direction must warn the person— it is an offence not to comply with the direction unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and the person may be arrested for the offence. The police officer must give the person a reasonable opportunity to comply with the direction. If the person fails to comply with the direction, a police officer must, if practicable— repeat the warning mentioned in subsection (1) ; and give the person a further reasonable opportunity to comply with the direction. s 134C ins 2016 No. 51 s 40 (sec.134C-ssec.1) The police officer giving the direction must warn the person— it is an offence not to comply with the direction unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and the person may be arrested for the offence.
