### sec.130 Making of application An application for a temporary protection order must be made to a magistrate. The application may be made by way of telephone, fax, radio, email or other similar facility. The police officer making the application must inform the magistrate of the particulars of the application for the protection order mentioned in section 129 (1) (a) or (2) (a) . The magistrate is entitled to presume that— the person making the application for the temporary protection order is a police officer; and an application for a protection order has been prepared, as required under section 129 (1) (a) or (2) (a) . The magistrate must make a record in writing of the application. s 130 amd 2016 No. 51 s 38 (sec.130-ssec.1) An application for a temporary protection order must be made to a magistrate.
