### sec.112 Police protection notice taken to be application for protection order
A police protection notice is taken to be an application for a protection order made by a police officer.
This section does not apply if—
the police protection notice was issued against the respondent under section 101A when the respondent was released from custody; and
a police officer prepared an application for a protection order against the respondent while the respondent was in custody as required under section 118 .

(sec.112-ssec.1) A police protection notice is taken to be an application for a protection order made by a police officer.
(sec.112-ssec.2) This section does not apply if— the police protection notice was issued against the respondent under section 101A when the respondent was released from custody; and a police officer prepared an application for a protection order against the respondent while the respondent was in custody as required under section 118 .
- (a) the police protection notice was issued against the respondent under section 101A when the respondent was released from custody; and
- (b) a police officer prepared an application for a protection order against the respondent while the respondent was in custody as required under section 118 .
