### sec.249D Protection from suits etc. in relation to action taken under s 249B
No action, suit or proceeding lies against—
a financial institution; or
an officer or agent of the institution acting in the course of the officer’s or agent’s employment or agency;
in relation to any action taken by the institution, officer or agent under a notice under section 249B or in the mistaken belief that action was required under the notice.
If a financial institution, or an officer or agent of the institution, gives information under section 249B , the institution, officer or agent is taken, for the purposes of sections 250 and 252 , not to have been in possession of that information at any time.
