106 Good behaviour—maximum amount of security
(1) The maximum amount of security that may be required to be given
by an offender or a surety under a good behaviour order is—
(a) if the offence is punishable by a fine—the maximum fine that
may be imposed for the offence; or
(b) if the offence is not punishable by a fine—
(i) for the Supreme Court—$10 000; or
(ii) for the Magistrates Court—$2 000.
Part 6.4 Good behaviour orders—other provisions
(2) However, a good behaviour order made by the Magistrates Court
must not include a condition that the offender or a surety give security
unless—
(a) the offence is punishable by imprisonment for longer than
6 months; or
(b) a suspended sentence order has been made for the offence.
