132J Extending interim prohibition order if application for
prohibition order adjourned
(1) This section applies in relation to an application for a prohibition
order for a person if—
(a) an interim prohibition order is in force for the person; and
(b) the Magistrates Court adjourns the application; and
(c) the interim prohibition order will end before the application is
decided.
(2) The Magistrates Court may, on application by the chief police officer
or on its own initiative, extend the interim prohibition order for not
more than 28 days.
(3) The interim prohibition order may be extended in the person’s
absence if the Magistrates Court is satisfied that the person was
served with the application for the prohibition order under
section 132Z (Service of applications).
