### sec.465 Application of s 225 to existing ordinary commissioners and particular new appointments
Section 225(2) as in force immediately before the commencement continues to apply to an ordinary commissioner who holds office on the commencement despite the amendment of that section by the Crime and Corruption and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 .
If, at the time of the appointment of an ordinary commissioner (the appointee ), none of the ordinary commissioners holds the qualifications mentioned in section 225(2)(b)—
section 225(2)(b) does not apply to the appointment; and
the appointee must hold the qualifications mentioned in section 225(2)(b).

(sec.465-ssec.1) Section 225(2) as in force immediately before the commencement continues to apply to an ordinary commissioner who holds office on the commencement despite the amendment of that section by the Crime and Corruption and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 .
(sec.465-ssec.2) If, at the time of the appointment of an ordinary commissioner (the appointee ), none of the ordinary commissioners holds the qualifications mentioned in section 225(2)(b)— section 225(2)(b) does not apply to the appointment; and the appointee must hold the qualifications mentioned in section 225(2)(b).
