### sec.409 Acting assistant commissioners This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement day, holds an appointment to act as an assistant commissioner. At the start of the commencement day, the person’s appointment and employment to act as the assistant commissioner ends. If the person is appointed as a senior officer, the period for which the person was appointed to act as an assistant commissioner immediately before the commencement day is to be counted as a period for which the person holds office as the senior officer for the purposes of section 247. s 409 ins 2014 No. 21 s 81 (sec.409-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement day, holds an appointment to act as an assistant commissioner. (sec.409-ssec.2) At the start of the commencement day, the person’s appointment and employment to act as the assistant commissioner ends. (sec.409-ssec.3) If the person is appointed as a senior officer, the period for which the person was appointed to act as an assistant commissioner immediately before the commencement day is to be counted as a period for which the person holds office as the senior officer for the purposes of section 247.
