### sec.384 Declaration about local governments and joint local governments This section applies for the period of the administration of this Act until the commencement of the Justice Legislation Amendment Act 2008 , section 53 . To remove any doubt and to remove the necessity for proof of the funding of local governments and joint local governments, it is declared that every local government and joint local government has always been and, despite the Local Government Act 1993 , sections 34 (3) and 49 (4) , continued to be a unit of public administration for this Act. (sec.384-ssec.1) This section applies for the period of the administration of this Act until the commencement of the Justice Legislation Amendment Act 2008 , section 53 .
