### sec.273 Commission officer’s identity card
The chief executive officer must give each commission officer an identity card.
The identity card must—
contain a recent photo of the officer; and
contain a copy of the commission officer’s signature; and
identify the person as a commission officer under this Act; and
state an expiry date for the card.
A person who stops being a commission officer must return the person’s identity card to the chief executive officer as soon as possible (but within 21 days) after the person stops being a commission officer, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
This section does not prevent the giving of a single identity card to a person for this Act and other purposes.
In this section—
commission officer does not include—
a police officer who is a member of a police task force established under section 32 ; or
a person engaged under section 256 .
