### sec.254 Commission staff
The commission may employ the staff necessary to enable the commission to perform its functions.
The staff are to be employed under this Act and not under the Public Sector Act 2022 .
The staff are to be paid the remuneration and allowances decided by the Minister.
Staff employed at or above a level decided by the commission must be employed under a written contract of employment with the commission.
Staff employed under a written contract of employment are not subject to any industrial instrument under the Industrial Relations Act 2016 or any determination or rule of an industrial tribunal.
The staff are subject to the direction and control of the chief executive officer.
