### sec.234 Leave of absence
The commission may grant leave to an officer in accordance with entitlements available to the officer under the officer’s conditions of office.
However, only the Minister may grant extended leave to an officer.
In this section—
extended leave means—
for the chairperson or chief executive officer—leave of more than 10 business days; or
for the deputy chairperson or an ordinary commissioner—leave of more than 20 business days.
