### sec.144 What approval must state An approval for a controlled operation must be written and state the following— a description of the suspected corruption offence to which the controlled operation relates; the period, of not more than 6 months, for which the approval has effect; the name of each covert operative who may engage in otherwise unlawful activities for the purposes of the operation; a precise description of each otherwise unlawful activity a person who is not a commission officer may engage in while acting as a covert operative for the operation; a description of the general classes of otherwise unlawful activities a commission officer may be required to engage in while acting as a covert operative for the operation; any conditions the approving officer considers appropriate.
