### sec.134 Lawfulness of particular actions
To remove doubt, it is declared—
that it is lawful for a person acting in accordance with this part—
to recommend that other persons be authorised to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; or
to authorise other persons to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; and
that it is lawful for a person acting as a covert operative under an approval under section 141 , 142 or 143 to engage in activities stated in the approval that may be unlawful as part of the investigation of a suspected corruption offence; and
that it is lawful for the chairperson, or a senior executive officer, acting in accordance with procedures established by the chairperson, to authorise a police officer or a commission officer to engage in a stated controlled activity for the commission; and
that it is lawful for a person acting under an authority given under section 146I to engage in a controlled activity in accordance with the authority and procedures established by the commission.

- (a) that it is lawful for a person acting in accordance with this part— (i) to recommend that other persons be authorised to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; or (ii) to authorise other persons to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; and
- (i) to recommend that other persons be authorised to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; or
- (ii) to authorise other persons to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; and
- (b) that it is lawful for a person acting as a covert operative under an approval under section 141 , 142 or 143 to engage in activities stated in the approval that may be unlawful as part of the investigation of a suspected corruption offence; and
- (c) that it is lawful for the chairperson, or a senior executive officer, acting in accordance with procedures established by the chairperson, to authorise a police officer or a commission officer to engage in a stated controlled activity for the commission; and
- (d) that it is lawful for a person acting under an authority given under section 146I to engage in a controlled activity in accordance with the authority and procedures established by the commission.
- (i) to recommend that other persons be authorised to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; or
- (ii) to authorise other persons to engage in an activity that may be unlawful as part of an investigation of a suspected corruption offence; and
