### sec.271 Delegation of functions of chief executive
The chief executive may delegate to an appropriately qualified person (the delegate ) a function of the chief executive under this Act, other than section 271B(3), 306F (1) or 306K (1) .
The delegation may permit the delegate to subdelegate the delegated function to an appropriately qualified person.
In this section—
appropriately qualified person includes any of the following—
an employee of the department;
an engaged service provider or an employee of an engaged service provider;
a corrective services officer.
