### sec.270 Community service
The chief executive may, in writing, declare an activity to be community service for this Act or the Penalties and Sentences Act 1992 .
The chief executive may appoint an appropriately qualified person (a community service supervisor ) to supervise offenders performing community service.
A community service supervisor—
ceases to be appointed at the end of the term stated in the instrument of appointment; and
may resign by signed notice given to the chief executive.
(sec.270-ssec.1) The chief executive may, in writing, declare an activity to be community service for this Act or the Penalties and Sentences Act 1992 .
(sec.270-ssec.2) The chief executive may appoint an appropriately qualified person (a community service supervisor ) to supervise offenders performing community service.
(sec.270-ssec.3) A community service supervisor— ceases to be appointed at the end of the term stated in the instrument of appointment; and may resign by signed notice given to the chief executive.
