### sec.229B Delegation of particular function of president
This section applies if the president considers that the president can not independently consider and decide whether to make a restricted prisoner declaration about a prisoner.
Without limiting subsection (1) , the president must delegate the president’s function under subsection (3) if the president becomes aware of a direct or an indirect interest the president has in relation to the prisoner that could conflict with the proper performance of the president’s decision to make the declaration.
The president must delegate to a deputy president the function of the president under chapter 5 , part 1AB .
In this section—
