241 Jurisdiction of Supreme Court
(1) The Supreme Court has jurisdiction to hear and decide any
confiscation proceeding or any proceeding under part 11 (Interstate
orders) in relation to a corresponding law order.
(2) The Supreme Court may, by order, transfer a confiscation proceeding
to the Magistrates Court if the value of the property and benefits to
which the proceeding relates (as decided by the Supreme Court)—
(a) is less than or equal to the amount the Magistrates Court may
award for a personal action at law; and
(b) does not include land the title to which is genuinely in question.
(3) An order under subsection (2) may be made on the application of the
DPP or of a person with an interest in the property or on the Supreme
Court’s own initiative.
