### sec.25 Notice about draft coastal plan
The Minister must publish a notice about a draft coastal plan prepared under section 24 in—
the gazette; and
a newspaper circulating generally in Queensland.
The notice must state the following—
that the draft plan is available for inspection and purchase;
where copies of the draft plan may be inspected and purchased, including, for example, the department’s website;
a contact telephone number for information about the draft plan;
that written submissions about any aspect of the draft plan may be given by any person to the Minister;
the period (the consultation period ) during which the submissions may be made;
the requirements for a properly made submission.
The consultation period must be at least 40 business days after the day the notice is gazetted.
The Minister must give a copy of the notice and draft plan to—
each local government, port authority and port operator within the area covered by the draft plan; and
any other group or person the Minister considers appropriate.
A local government, port authority or port operator receiving a copy of the draft plan must make the copy available for inspection by the public.
