### sec.165 Delegation by chief executive
The chief executive may delegate the executive’s powers under this Act to—
an appropriately qualified—
authorised person; or
public service officer; or
a local government; or
a port authority; or
a statutory authority.
A delegation of a chief executive’s power to a local government may permit the subdelegation of the power to an appropriately qualified entity.

(sec.165-ssec.1) The chief executive may delegate the executive’s powers under this Act to— an appropriately qualified— authorised person; or public service officer; or a local government; or a port authority; or a statutory authority.
(sec.165-ssec.2) A delegation of a chief executive’s power to a local government may permit the subdelegation of the power to an appropriately qualified entity.
- (a) an appropriately qualified— (i) authorised person; or (ii) public service officer; or
- (i) authorised person; or
- (ii) public service officer; or
- (b) a local government; or
- (c) a port authority; or
- (d) a statutory authority.
