### sec.131 Production or display of identity card
An authorised person may exercise a power in relation to someone else (the other person ) only if the authorised person—
first produces his or her identity card for the other person’s inspection; or
has his or her identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the other person.
However, if, for any reason, it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised person must produce the identity card for the other person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
(sec.131-ssec.1) An authorised person may exercise a power in relation to someone else (the other person ) only if the authorised person— first produces his or her identity card for the other person’s inspection; or has his or her identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the other person.
(sec.131-ssec.2) However, if, for any reason, it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised person must produce the identity card for the other person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
- (a) first produces his or her identity card for the other person’s inspection; or
- (b) has his or her identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the other person.
