### sec.64 Providing personal protective equipment
A coal mine operator for a coal mine must—
provide, for the mine’s coal mine workers, personal protective equipment that is—
appropriate for the hazards associated with the workers’ tasks; and
sufficient for the number of workers carrying out the tasks; and
ensure the equipment is readily available for use by the workers.

For subsection (1) (a) (i) , if the hazard relates to a hazardous chemical or dangerous goods, the coal mine operator must have regard to the safety data sheet for the chemical or goods.
