209 Power for corporations to hold property as joint tenants
(1) A corporation may acquire and hold property in joint tenancy in the
same way as if it were an individual.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1), if a corporation and an individual
become entitled to property under circumstances or an instrument that
would have created a joint tenancy if the corporation were an
individual, the corporation and individual are entitled to the property
as joint tenants.
(3) However, the acquisition and holding of property by a corporation in
joint tenancy is subject to the conditions and restrictions that apply to
the acquisition and holding of property by a corporation in severalty.
(4) If a corporation that is a joint tenant of property is dissolved, the
property devolves on the other joint tenant.
