### sec.92BA Approval to make major policy decisions in exceptional circumstances This section applies if the council considers that, because exceptional circumstances exist, it is necessary and in the public interest to make a major policy decision during a caretaker period for the council. The council may apply to the Minister for approval to make the major policy decision during the caretaker period. The Minister may give the approval if the Minister is satisfied that, because exceptional circumstances exist, it is necessary and in the public interest for the council to make the major policy decision during the caretaker period. The approval may be given on conditions with which the council must comply. Despite section 92B , the council may make the major policy decision in accordance with the approval. s 92BA ins 2026 No. 5 s 6 (sec.92BA-ssec.1) This section applies if the council considers that, because exceptional circumstances exist, it is necessary and in the public interest to make a major policy decision during a caretaker period for the council.
