### sec.293 Offences against s 215 charged before commencement
This section applies if—
a person was charged with an offence against section 215(1)(f) as in force before the commencement; and
on the commencement, the proceeding for the offence had not been finally decided.
The proceeding for the offence may be continued, and the person may be punished for the offence, as if the Local Government Electoral (Implementing Stage 2 of Belcarra) and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2019 , section 36 had not commenced.
Subsection (2) applies despite the Criminal Code, section 11.

(sec.293-ssec.1) This section applies if— a person was charged with an offence against section 215(1)(f) as in force before the commencement; and on the commencement, the proceeding for the offence had not been finally decided.
