### sec.22 Implementation
The Governor in Council may implement the change commission’s recommendation under a regulation.
The regulation may provide for anything that is necessary or convenient to facilitate the implementation of the boundary change.
For example, the regulation may provide for—
holding or postponing a council election; or
the transfer of assets and liabilities between the council and another local government.
The council is not liable to pay a State tax in relation to a transfer or other arrangement made to implement a boundary change.
A State tax is a tax, charge, fee or levy imposed under an Act, other than a duty under the Duties Act 2001 .
(sec.22-ssec.1) The Governor in Council may implement the change commission’s recommendation under a regulation.
