### sec.51ZC Working with the child and parents
If the chief executive decides to intervene with the parents’ agreement, the chief executive must—
encourage and facilitate the participation of the child and child’s parents in—
decisions about the most appropriate intervention for the child; and
the carrying out of the intervention; and
encourage and facilitate the parents’ continuing involvement, during the intervention, with the child’s life and care.
The case plan for the child must include details about what is expected of the child’s parents and the chief executive to achieve the goals under the case plan.

(sec.51ZC-ssec.1) If the chief executive decides to intervene with the parents’ agreement, the chief executive must— encourage and facilitate the participation of the child and child’s parents in— decisions about the most appropriate intervention for the child; and the carrying out of the intervention; and encourage and facilitate the parents’ continuing involvement, during the intervention, with the child’s life and care.
