### sec.51J Function
The function of a family group meeting is to deal with the matters, relating to a child’s protection and care needs or wellbeing, for which the meeting was convened.
For a case planning meeting, this includes—
considering the child’s protection and care needs; and
agreeing on a plan to meet those needs and promote the child’s wellbeing.

(sec.51J-ssec.1) The function of a family group meeting is to deal with the matters, relating to a child’s protection and care needs or wellbeing, for which the meeting was convened.
(sec.51J-ssec.2) For a case planning meeting, this includes— considering the child’s protection and care needs; and agreeing on a plan to meet those needs and promote the child’s wellbeing.
