### sec.284 Existing applications under ch 4, pt 2 This section applies if— an application was made under former chapter 4, part 2; and immediately before the commencement, the application had not been decided. From the commencement— the following provisions apply in relation to the application— for a foster carer certificate or kinship carer certificate—new section 134(8); new chapter 4, part 2, division 7; and the former provisions of this Act, other than former section 134(8) and former chapter 4, part 2, division 7, continue to apply in relation to the application as if the Child Protection Reform and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2022 had not commenced. s 284 ins 2022 No. 7 s 65 (sec.284-ssec.1) This section applies if— an application was made under former chapter 4, part 2; and immediately before the commencement, the application had not been decided.
