### sec.271 Uncompleted child death case reviews
This section applies to a review started by the chief executive under chapter 7A before the commencement day if, immediately before the commencement day—
the chief executive had not yet given a copy of a report about the review to the CDCRC under previous section 246D(2); or
the chief executive had given a copy of a report about the review to the CDCRC under previous section 246D(2) but the CDCRC had not completed its review of the chief executive’s review and given a copy of its report about its review to the chief executive under previous section 135 of the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 .
The chief executive must give the report about the review and other documents required under section 246D to a review panel established or nominated by the Minister to conduct a review of the chief executive’s review.
In this section—
commencement day means the day this section commences.
previous means as in force before the commencement day.

- (a) the chief executive had not yet given a copy of a report about the review to the CDCRC under previous section 246D(2); or
- (b) the chief executive had given a copy of a report about the review to the CDCRC under previous section 246D(2) but the CDCRC had not completed its review of the chief executive’s review and given a copy of its report about its review to the chief executive under previous section 135 of the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 .
