### sec.24 Purpose of part
This part provides for the making of temporary assessment orders.
A temporary assessment order is made to authorise actions necessary as part of an investigation to assess whether a child is a child in need of protection, if the consent of a parent of the child to the actions has not been able to be obtained or it is not practicable to take steps to obtain the parent’s consent.

(sec.24-ssec.1) This part provides for the making of temporary assessment orders.
