### sec.188E Chief executive must give police commissioner information about deceased child This section applies if— an investigation in relation to the death of a child is being carried out by a police officer; and the police commissioner, by written notice, asks the chief executive to give the police commissioner stated information about the child. The chief executive must comply with the request. The chief executive’s obligation to comply with the request applies only to information in the chief executive’s possession. The giving of the information is authorised despite any Act or law, including a law imposing an obligation to maintain confidentiality about the information. However, if the information includes notifier details the chief executive must notify the police commissioner of that fact when complying with the request. In this section— notifier details means information about the identity of a person mentioned in section 186 who notifies the chief executive, an authorised officer or a police officer that the person suspects a matter mentioned in section 186 (a) or (b) . s 188E ins 2017 No. 44 s 71 amd 2022 No. 7 s 132 sch 1 (sec.188E-ssec.1) This section applies if— an investigation in relation to the death of a child is being carried out by a police officer; and the police commissioner, by written notice, asks the chief executive to give the police commissioner stated information about the child. (sec.188E-ssec.2) The chief executive must comply with the request. (sec.188E-ssec.3) The chief executive’s obligation to comply with the request applies only to information in the chief executive’s possession.
