### sec.148E Chief executive’s responsibility to provide support and training
This section applies in relation to an approved carer who is caring for a child under this Act.
The chief executive must provide the approved carer with, or ensure the approved carer has access to, the following—
support to help the carer care for the child, including, for example—
information about financial assistance for approved carers; and
information and advice about providing care for children; and
respite care; and
access to support persons;
training programs that maintain or develop the carer’s ability to care for children.
The chief executive need only comply with subsection (2) to the extent the chief executive considers that—
it is practicable to do so; and
the support or training is appropriate in the circumstances.

(sec.148E-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to an approved carer who is caring for a child under this Act.
(sec.148E-ssec.2) The chief executive must provide the approved carer with, or ensure the approved carer has access to, the following— support to help the carer care for the child, including, for example— information about financial assistance for approved carers; and information and advice about providing care for children; and respite care; and access to support persons; training programs that maintain or develop the carer’s ability to care for children.
