### sec.140AA Procedure for suspension or cancellation of provisional certificate
This section applies if the chief executive decides to suspend or cancel a certificate of approval as a provisionally approved carer.
The chief executive must inform the holder of the decision by written notice, stating the reasons for the decision.
The chief executive must record particulars of the suspension or cancellation on the authority.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that the suspension or cancellation does not, of itself, affect the holder’s application for a certificate of approval as an approved foster carer or approved kinship carer.
