### sec.13F Mandatory reporting relating to children in care
This section applies to a person (a relevant person ) who is any of the following—
an authorised officer;
a public service employee employed in the department;
a person employed in a departmental care service or licensed care service;
an approved carer;
a person employed in an entity mentioned in section 82 (1) (f) .
For this section, a reportable suspicion about a child in care is a reasonable suspicion that the child has suffered, is suffering, or is at unacceptable risk of suffering, significant harm caused by physical or sexual abuse.
If a relevant person forms a reportable suspicion about a child in care, the person must give a report to the chief executive under section 13G .
In this section—
child in care means a child placed in care under section 82 (1) .
