### sec.72M Requirement to implement pre-commitment system
A regulation may provide that, in a stated casino, a person must not be allowed to do the following other than under a pre-commitment system in accordance with the regulation—
play a stated game;
carry out a stated activity associated with playing a game.
buying chips
A regulation may make provision about a pre-commitment system or any other matter relating to a regulation under subsection (1) , including any of the following—
the types of limits that must be available to players under the system to help them to control their gambling expenditure and time spent gambling;
a limit that applies to a player;
the requirements for removing a limit applying to a player;
a default limit that applies to a player who has not opted for a different limit;
how amounts are calculated or measured for the purpose of a limit;
how a player may set or change a limit applying to the person;
A regulation may provide for a cooling-off period before an increase to the amount of a limit takes effect.
A regulation may provide for a requirement that must be met before a person may increase the amount of a limit.
the periods to which a limit applies;
A regulation may provide for daily, weekly and monthly limits on a person’s net loss on a game or total time spent playing a game.
installation of the pre-commitment system;
the provision of information to the chief executive about the operation of, or another matter relating to, the pre-commitment system;
obligations of the casino operator, relating to the pre-commitment system, to help ensure safer gambling;
obligations about when and how to interact with a person to ensure compliance with a limit applying to the person
the availability of ways of accessing the pre-commitment system;
the use of player cards and player accounts under the pre-commitment system;
persons to whom a regulation mentioned in subsection (1) applies or does not apply.
In this section—
access , a pre-commitment system, includes—
obtain information stored in the system; and
add, delete or change limits, information or settings stored in the system.

- (f) how a player may set or change a limit applying to the person; Examples— 1 A regulation may provide for a cooling-off period before an increase to the amount of a limit takes effect. 2 A regulation may provide for a requirement that must be met before a person may increase the amount of a limit.
