### sec.51E Employment or engagement of agents
This section applies if the trustee for a project trust or retention trust employs, or otherwise engages, a person (an agent ) to do any act relating to the trust on behalf of the trustee.
The trustee is liable for all acts and defaults of its agent as if the acts and defaults were the trustee’s own acts and defaults.
The costs of employing or engaging the agent are not recoverable from funds held in trust for the project trust or retention trust or from any beneficiary of the trust, other than the trustee.
