### sec.167 Applications for renewal of registration
An adjudicator may apply to the registrar for the renewal of the adjudicator’s registration.
The application must be made at least 1 month before the registration ends and must—
be in the approved form; and
be signed by or for the applicant; and
be accompanied by the fee prescribed by regulation for the application.
The registrar must consider the application and renew, or refuse to renew, the registration.
In deciding whether to grant the application, the registrar may have regard to the matters mentioned in section 161 (2) .
The registrar must not renew the registration if—
the applicant would not be eligible to be registered as an adjudicator under section 161 (1) ; or
the applicant has not completed the required continuing professional development prescribed under section 165 (1) .
If the registrar decides to refuse to renew the registration, the registrar must give the applicant an information notice for the decision.
If the registrar decides to impose conditions on the registration, the registrar must give the applicant an information notice for the decision.
A registration may be renewed by—
endorsing the existing certificate of registration; or
cancelling the existing certificate and issuing another certificate.
