### sec.15E Contracts for professional design, advisory or contract administration work
A project trust is not required for a contract if the only work to be carried out under the contract is advisory work or design work carried out, either directly or indirectly, by—
an architect under the Architects Act 2002 ; or
a registered professional engineer under the Professional Engineers Act 2002 ; or
a building designer; or
a person who carries on a business as a landscape architect.
Also, a project trust is not required for a contract if the only work to be carried out under the contract is contract administration carried out, either directly or indirectly, by a person mentioned in subsection (1) for the construction of a building wholly or partly designed by the person.
In this section—
advisory work means—
the inspection or investigation of a building; or
the provision of advice or a report about a building.
building designer means a person who holds a licence of a class mentioned in the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Regulation 2018 , schedule 2 , part 11 , 12 or 13 .
design work means the preparation of plans or specifications for project trust work.
