### sec.123 Copy of notice of claim to contractor
This section applies if a subcontractor gives a notice of claim to a person obliged to pay money to a contractor under a contract.
The subcontractor must—
give the contractor a copy of the notice of claim; and
advise the contractor of the name and address of the person given the notice of claim.
If the subcontractor does not comply with subsection (2) , the notice is of no effect and the subcontractor’s charge does not attach.
(sec.123-ssec.1) This section applies if a subcontractor gives a notice of claim to a person obliged to pay money to a contractor under a contract.
(sec.123-ssec.2) The subcontractor must— give the contractor a copy of the notice of claim; and advise the contractor of the name and address of the person given the notice of claim.
(sec.123-ssec.3) If the subcontractor does not comply with subsection (2) , the notice is of no effect and the subcontractor’s charge does not attach.
- (a) give the contractor a copy of the notice of claim; and
- (b) advise the contractor of the name and address of the person given the notice of claim.
