### sec.246CM QBCC commissioner may recommend mediation to resolve complaint
If the QBCC commissioner considers a complaint about a pool safety inspector is capable of resolution by mediation, the commissioner must give the complainant and the pool safety inspector a notice stating—
that the commissioner considers the complaint is capable of resolution by mediation; and
attendance at, and participation in, mediation is voluntary; and
that either party may withdraw from the mediation at any time; and
when the mediation ends; and
the effect of giving the commissioner a certificate about the mediation.
The commissioner may recommend the complainant and the pool safety inspector enter into a process of mediation to resolve the complaint as soon as practicable and before the commissioner investigates the complaint.

(sec.246CM-ssec.2) The commissioner may recommend the complainant and the pool safety inspector enter into a process of mediation to resolve the complaint as soon as practicable and before the commissioner investigates the complaint.
- (a) that the commissioner considers the complaint is capable of resolution by mediation; and
- (b) attendance at, and participation in, mediation is voluntary; and

- (e) the effect of giving the commissioner a certificate about the mediation.
